Minister Mthethwa to celebrate DJ Black Coffee for winning the BET Award

Department of Arts & Culture in association with DJU will host the Black Coffee BET Award celebratory Gala Dinner as Black Coffee is a product of the DJU (Oskido, DJ Fresh, Christos Greg Maloka and Vinny Da Vinci) initiative named Southern African Music Conference which the Department has been supporting for the past ten years.

Black Coffee born Nkosinathi Maphumulo is a South African multi- award winning record producer and DJ. He began his career around the year 1995 and has released five albums and live DVD’s under his record Soulistic Music. The aim of the project is to recognise Black Coffee’s achievements over the years and for the 2016 BET Awards. The star has collaborated with the likes of the late icon Mr Victor Ntoni, Hugh Masekela, Zonke and Ringo to mention but a few.
