The Department of Arts and Culture invites members of the media to the Master Class that will delivered by Credo Mutwa on Wednesday, 09 March 2016 at Credo Mutwa Homestead, Mothibistad in Kuruman, Northern Cape. Credo Mutwa is a renowned traditional healer, author and sculptor. His Master Class will explore the African ancient methods and culture, indigenous knowledge systems of African storytelling, the heritage of African Art effects and the role of a Sanusi (a traditional healer).
The LLLP initiative is meant to engage the living legends actively in programmes that promote arts and culture development as well as providing opportunities for them to interact and share their knowledge and experience with the younger generation of artists.
The Master Class is part of the Living Legends Legacy Programme launched in August 2015 by the Department of Arts and Culture to honour the living legends across all arts disciplines for their contribution in the Arts, Culture and Heritage sector. The living legends conduct Master Classes from the legend’s artistically journey in the form of experiential classes and lectures based on wisdom, skill and experience in their areas of expertise.
