The South African National Heritage Council had the privilege to granted US$ 15 000 to organise a workshop to discuss and develop a regional strategic plan for the Liberation Heritage Route of Southern  and Eastern Africa.  The strategic plan consists of a series of sites that in combination express the struggle for justice and freedom and the fight against gross human rights violation, demonstrated through Apartheid.  The struggle against Apartheid became a universal struggle for Human Rights and is an important experience to preserve the future.
